Research Assistant Technician

DUTIES: The Faculty Research Assistant will assist other lab members with research into viral-host interactions that contribute to pathogenesis. The position will require maintaining active research projects under the supervision of the PI, including experimentation, data analysis, troubleshooting and preparation for publication.  In addition, the Faculty Research Assistant will perform a variety of functions vital for the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, including: ordering supplies, tracking lab expenses, overseeing maintenance of equipment, organizing lab materials. 

QUALIFICATIONS:  Applicants must have a strong science background, with a B.S. degree (preferably in biology, microbiology, cell biology, biochemistry, or chemistry). Previous experience with molecular biology and/or biochemical techniques would be a plus, but enthusiasm and organizational skills are more important. Extensive training will be provided.

STARTING SALARY:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience
