Giving to the College

President C.D. Mote, Jr. is unequivocally committed to the development of the life sciences as a top priority, as demonstrated in his recent testimony to the legislature. The University is engaging in significant facilities upgrades, including a new Bioscience Research Building, a new Chemistry Teaching Wing, and renovations to the old wings of the Chemistry Building. Biodiversity, bioengineering, bioinformatics and computational biology, the cellular basis of development, neuroscience, protein structure/molecular machines/proteomics and virology are the many areas targeted for development and expansion.

Much of this development is made possible through the generous private support of individuals, corporations and foundations. Some current opportunities for giving include scholarships, fellowships, professorships, lecture series and named spaces in new and existing buildings. If you would like to learn more about supporting the College of Chemical and Life Sciences, please contact Andrea E. Morris, Assistant Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, at (301) 405-4572 or aemorris@umd.edu.

An online giving form is also available.
