Four Year Plans
Developing Your Four Year Plan
- All students in the College of Chemical and Life Sciences are expected to develop a Four Year Plan to help them complete all degree requirements in a timely fashion.
- "Four Year" Plans may actually be more or less than four years long depending on your transfer credits, summer and winter courses, if you plan on double majoring and other factors.
- If you are pursuing a second major, degree or certificate in addition to your CLFS degree, you should also consult an academic advisor in that area as well.
Getting started:
- Get the curriculum sheet and sample Four Year Plan for Biological Sciences specializations, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or ENSP-Biodiversity and Conservation Biology to familiarize yourself with major requirements and how courses build upon each other.
- Use the Undegraduate Catalog or Schedule of Classes to double check prerequisities and corequisites.
- Obtain the Four Year Plan worksheet or make your own. (Tip: To maximize the size of the boxes in the worksheet set page scaling to "none" before printing)
- Utilize these helpful Four Year Plan tips.
- Update your Four Year Plan each semester or as your plans change.
For Additional Help:
- Visit the Peer Mentors. They can assist you one-on-one in making your Four Year Plan.
- Discuss your proposed Four Year Plan with your academic advisor at your next pre-registration appointment.
