Admission Requirements
Shady Grove accepts transfer students who typically have about 60 credits of lower level course work completed. Note that up to three of the below prerequisites may remain uncompleted when entering the Shady Grove program. These can be completed during your studies at Shady Grove by enrolling in courses at either Montgomery College or College Park.
Students transferring to the Shady Grove campus may apply up to 65 credits from their previous two year institutions.
Admission to the biological sciences program is competitive and limited to the most qualified students who meet the requirements for admission. Application deadlines are July 1 (Fall admission) or January 3 (Spring admission).
